ISCO Industries is a global customized piping solutions provider based in Louisville, KY. ISCO stocks and sells a wide variety of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and provides solutions for various environmental, geothermal, golf, industrial, landfill, mining, municipal, nuclear, waterworks, and culvert-lining applications worldwide. ISCO is an employee-owned, total piping solutions company with more than 30 facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Chile.

ISCO Industries was spending countless hours performing analysis, forecasting, and budgeting in Excel. The company had a dream that one day they could move away from using Excel as the sole tool for financial analysis. ISCO realized this dream in the summer of 2016 by implementing PBCS in a phased approach: phase 1 – financial statement analysis; phase 2 – budgeting and forecasting. The implementation of PBCS has led to reduced time spent on reporting, accurate and consistent budgets and forecast, and ultimately fewer nightmares.

Incorta: Top Line to Transactions in a Click - Real-time Analytics and Reporting for Oracle Applications Without the Data Warehouse
Matthew Halliday , Incorta
Co-presenter(s): Bhavana Tirukovalluri, Stanford University
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Azalea

While Oracle Applications are excellent for data collection, for analytics and reporting it’s a different story–and one where the cards are stacked against you. Not only does it require complex ETL and data modeling, but the solutions are not adaptable to the dynamic requirements of the user community. To further complicate matters, multiple administrators per product and price tags in excess of $1 million for implementation and maintenance are commonplace.

Join Matthew Halliday, Incorta's chief evangelist, and Bhavana Tirukovalluri, Stanford University's manager of financial systems support, as they share a case study based on a radically simplified approach recently employed at a Stanford University.

The synergistic implementation approach of these two cloud offerings has led to an enterprise software solution to address the entire extended financial close, and provided the accounting/finance teams with a solution they can confidently own and operate themselves.

Insum Solutions: APEX is a Breadboard - Choose Your Adventure
Monty Latiolais , Insum Solutions
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Cibolo Canyon 5
Topic: Vendor Presentation - Subtopic: Vendor Presentation

We are moving into an age where breakthrough technology products are being invented, not by developing new technology, but by imaginatively assembling components that already exist. As a result, the tools that help us rapidly connect components into something useful have become extremely valuable.
Just as a pre-wired, solderless breadboard serves as a useful construction base that helps beginners and professionals alike quickly assemble components to build electronic circuits, APEX, one of the first truly low-code platforms, helps application developers quickly assemble components to produce highly-functional applications.
In this presentation, we will show how APEX can be used as a breadboard-like construction base to assemble powerful Oracle DB features and 3rd party components, from 3D mapping libraries to IoT integration, to quickly and elegantly solve business problems. In fact there are so many examples of this we're letting you decide which solutions make the final cut. Choose from things like electronic document processing, including workflow using Visio-like functionality, integrate computer vision, and many more to choose from. It's up to you!

Emtec: User-Driven Allocations via Hyperion Planning
Bill Lowry , Emtec, Incorporated
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Peony
Topic: Vendor Presentation - Subtopic: Vendor Presentation

Come see a framework in which allocations are put back in the users’ hands. Users can define everything necessary for an allocation - from the source pool to the driver to the target pool. They no longer have to update or hard-code calculations when things change or new allocations are introduced. Simple configuration changes can allow for exception-based processing, overrides, and driver/source pool modifications.

This framework seeks to drive transparency into the allocation process. It is constantly trying to answer the questions: “How were my allocations calculated?”, “Where did my allocated expenses come from?”, and “What is driving the variances month to month in my allocations?” As we use Hyperion Planning as the user front end, users are already familiar with the user interface, and budget/forecasts can be quickly incorporated to use the same logic (or different if necessary)!

In this session we will walk through the broad strokes of how this framework can be set up and several scenarios that a typical user might run into when setting up and calculating their allocations.

MindStream Analytics: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle R to the Rescue!
Cuong Nguyen Tien , Mindstream Analytics
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Grand Oaks I
Topic: Vendor Presentation - Subtopic: Vendor Presentation

Maximizing time is important for you as a patient and the doctor – not to mention the shortage of doctors and healthcare providers. So, how can data be leveraged to help this dilemma? In comes advanced analytics - there is a plethora of data available for nearly every potential clinical outcome and where you have data, there is a potential predictive algorithm. But while it may be easy to develop clinical algorithms, it is equally necessary to be specific about which specific clinical decision(s) that algorithm will inform. Understanding how using prediction modeling techniques such as regression and geospatial modeling to create a prediction profile (algorithm) from the information about specific areas in the past. The model is then ’deployed’ so that new areas can get a prediction instantly for whatever insight is needed.

In this session, you’ll hear about how OBIEE and Oracle R can work to provide the insight to quickly identify specific health problems quickly vs traditional method of process of elimination. Insight and intelligence is paving the way to better equip doctors to take better care of you!

Quest: Databases and Agile…Yin and Yang?
John Pocknell , Quest Software
Co-presenter(s): Gregory Liss, Quest Software
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Bluebonnet/Dogwood
Topic: Vendor Presentation - Subtopic: Vendor Presentation

As IT drives toward agile methodologies, the database world seems to fall further behind. One of the key reasons is that databases are hard – hard to manage, hard when it comes to having a single source of truth, hard to quantify in terms of quality – we could go on and on. For decades, the DBA has been the gatekeeper to all of these hard things. Database development organizations need a better, more integrated approach.

During this session, Toad product manager John Pocknell and Toad development manager, Greg Liss, will propose a methodology and solution for delivering the agility your organization is striving to achieve. They will then take you on a journey in an open forum to chat about recent developments for the Toad solutions and provide some perspective on the future of Toad.

Edward Roske , interRel Consulting
When: Jun 27, 2017, Tuesday Vendor Presentation, 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Room: Grand Oaks G
Topic: Vendor Presentation - Subtopic: Vendor Presentation

Visit cloud.Oracle.com and you'll notice something peculiar: the name "Hyperion" is nowhere to be found. Is this a simple oversight or has Hyperion been relegated to the dustbin of antiquity alongside the 8-tracks of the Bay City Rollers? If it is intentional, WTF, and who's in charge of this decision so I can beat him with my original installation disks of Hyperion Enterprise? More importantly, what does this mean for my heavy involvement in the world of Hyperion? If you have purchased Hyperion products, learned Hyperion products, and paid (a lot of money) to implement Hyperion products, what does this mean to you? Is it really as bad as it sounds? You'll have to tune in to find out if Hyperion is really dead and if so, what is taking its place.
